Ministry Residencies
Serving as a Ministry Resident at Cascades Camp and Conference Center is an opportunity to work in the diverse nature of camping ministry during the off-peak season (non-summer) months. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who desires to work hard, be mentored by an excellent staff, grow in their faith, and gain a greater understanding of self. For many participants, the Ministry Residency is experienced as a time of discernment and maturing. Some Residents have even used the experience to earn Internship Credit towards a degree. We are happy to work with Residents to achieve the specific requirements needed.
While serving as a Ministry Resident, participants will typically be assigned to a department at camp where they will spend roughly half to three quarters of their time. Another quarter to a half of the Ministry Residency will be committed to general camp needs including cleaning and special projects. A final component will be dedicated to learning, discovering, and growing as a cohort through small group discipleship, shared meals, and experiences.
