A Muddy Mud Retreat & Chi-Town
Well, Chicago came and went without a blog entry, but we’re right in the middle of all the staff recruiting fun. We’re getting ready for this summer and are really excited about Brightwood Station’s second year! Timber Rock and Sunrise Ranch should be really exciting too, with some of your favorite new activities carried over into this coming summer as well. Lots of Jr. Highers told us how much they loved paintball, and we’re excited to bring it back.
Spring weekends aren’t to far away, and now that the brochure has been mailed out to most of you, you’re going to want to register soon to make sure you get in before things fill up.
The 1st ever MUD Retreat went off without a hitch and we enjoyed having 130 high schoolers from around the North Pacific Conference come out in the middle of winter! About half the group went up to Crystal Mountain for a day of skiing, while the other half of us experienced MUD Bowl I back at Cascades. Tim Ciccone from Forest Park Covenant Church in Muskegon MI was our speaker and walked us through some hands on worship on Sunday night as we learned what it means to thirst for God. Our other special guests for the weekend included Brian Wu from the CHIC band, and Dave Nagel who led us in worship all weekend.
